Neil Wong
Founder & Chairman
Neil Wong is a builder, investor, and serial disruptor focused on the intersection of hotels, robotics, and AI. Over the past decade, Neil has developed several hotel projects throughout New York City, pioneered the first pod hotel chain in the U.S., led the deployment of New York City's first humanoid AI receptionist, invested in a suite of hotel automation software, and launched the first crew accommodation membership platform. His projects have been featured in dozens of publications, from The New York Times to Travel + Leisure.
Today, Neil leads an international team working to transform how physical spaces are designed, operated, and experienced through automation, robotics, and AI. His vision is to create more intelligent, data-driven spaces for the next generation. He believes the hotel industry is on the cusp of its biggest transformation and is betting that, within the next decade, half of hotels will operate autonomously. He divides his time between Silicon Valley, New York City, and Shenzhen, partnering with engineers, manufacturers, and owners to bring innovative technologies from concept to the real world. Neil was educated at CUNY and NYU and has provided industry insights for Columbia University, Third Bridge, and UBS.
Raised in the international mecca of Queens, New York, Neil's journey reflects his belief in the American dream, grit, and faith in God. He overcame homelessness, lost everything during COVID19, and fought regulatory battles that would have ended most careers. These experiences shaped his belief that the greatest achievements are only earned through pain and perseverance. Outside of work, he is known for his work-hard, play-hard mentality, balancing 18-hour workdays with a love for electric skateboards and electric cars, a combination that has resulted in more hospital visits than he would like to admit. His philanthropic work focuses on providing tech housing for founders and improving homeless shelters across the country, grounded in a belief shaped by his own experience: something as simple as a bed can change a life.

“I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”
